Nice and centrally located student studio on Goeseelsstraat – housing allowance possible! (21+)
This modern student complex won the BLAST 2021 architecture award and offers a pleasant living environment for students.
The studio is located in the Brinker complex, where you can live throughout your entire study period. Two types of studios are available within the complex (approximately 22 m² and 26 m²).
Each studio has its own kitchenette, equipped with a sink, hob, extractor hood, and a fridge/freezer combination. In addition, every studio has a fully equipped bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. There is a laundry room in the complex with several washing machines and dryers, which can be used for a fee. There is also a lift available.
The complex is accessed via two spacious entrances with doorbells and mailboxes.
There is a manager present who ensures safety in and around the complex. In addition, camera security is available on the premises.
The location is very convenient: within walking distance of the main campus of BUAS and a short bike ride from Avans University of Applied Sciences and the central station. Breda is known for its cozy atmosphere with plenty of terraces, cafés, and restaurants. Moreover, there are many opportunities to relax in nature, with parks, forests, and water nearby. Valkenbergpark frequently offers live music in the summer. For daily groceries, you can visit the supermarkets at Brabantplein, within walking distance.
Do you want to live in this lively city? Then register via the StadHuis Breda website (if you haven’t done so yet) and sign up by phone via 076-5729074 for a spot on the waiting list. Registration is possible from Monday to Thursday between 09:30 AM and 1 PM.
The rental prices range between €798.00 and €831.00 per month and include an advance payment for heating costs, water, electricity, internet, and service charges.
For all studios within this project, it is possible to apply for a housing allowance, provided you meet the applicable conditions, as established by the government (see www.toeslagen.nl).
Are you 21 years or older? Then you may be eligible for housing allowance for these studios, depending on your personal situation and if you meet the legal requirements.
If the studio is delivered move-in ready, you pay an amount of €995,- excluding 9% VAT. The studio will be delivered as follows:

White painted and smoothly plastered walls
Ceilings finished with spack and painted white
Cleaning before delivery

Please note the following rental conditions:

Registration at an educational institution is mandatory
Full-time study (Are you following a part-time course? Then you do not qualify)
The deposit is €1000,00
The landlord is looking for a student with a guarantor from parents/family who earn 5 times the monthly rent
OR a student who meets the income requirement themselves, for which you must earn 3 times the monthly rent net from fixed hours. Study financing and any form of benefits do not count.
